[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Still in Grandmother mode after the birth on October 13th of this little lad's brother I have just been browsing my photo files. This one I have printed out and framed because it makes me smile. My grandson has adopted a pose that he must have copied from his dad who is to be seen lounging like this. But at only 19 months when this was taken, I thought it quite cute.
This one for my Grandmothers Club theme. This is a group theme so please feel free to upload pictures of your own grandchildren if you are priveleged to have them.

Hello Turner
Yeah really this is the life..... there is lack of sharpness and detail in this picture but forget about it. the picture, the expression of the kid & the pose which he has adopted from his dad is very cute, great theme and good title for this picture.

Hi Bev,

Yes, when you can capture moments like this (in his diaper), you just have to do it, not only the pose but also the expression on Lochlan's face is like a grown up.
I can see that it is difficult for him to sit still, his legs are moving - you used 1/10 shuttertime then you catch that movement if that is what you want - - did you use a tripod?
The picture would be sharper if you tried like 1/60 or faster (1/30 lowest S setting for handheld/portraits).
I have been adding a picture of Wilt's grandchildren and Janice has 7 or 8 and I added a few of them as well, oh yes and WmcK's wee lad....
Thanks for creating the theme!

Els

Hello Bev,

I am no expert at portraits but I think Els' advice to keep the portrait sharp must be very good as she produces good portraits on a regular basis.
What I particularly like about this, is the very adult pose that Lochlan has adopted. He is role modelling without even thinking about it! Anyone who had had children, grandchildren, or taught children will be able to confirm that children learn by imitation. Such a good reason for setting high standards!

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Great capture of quite a pose, they do mimic well, don't they.
The slight blur from the leg motion, which I didn't see right away--I was more fascinated with the look on his face--just adds to the fun of it all.
Good work,
