[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi folks, I took this last year when in Portsoy.
My decision to keep the chain and rope in colour is because of the vibrant colours they have and because I like to play with my images :-)

PP Work: desaturated(with exception of the rope and chain), cropped and resized.

Thanks for looking,
Steve.

I like the idea but I think for this shot to be entirely successful the foreground objects (particularly the post) need to be really sharp. Two points for the idea and the excellent selection job on the rope and chain.

Hi Steven,

Good job of desaturation leaving the chain and rope red makes them the focus of attention. The details of the area in focus are sharp and good dof well done.

Regards
Jon

Hello steve

the idea is attractive here, the red rope
and the chain create an effective mood to
the main B/W result, fine saturation and
nice POV and sharpness on the ground, you
left part of the rope colorless:)
creative post and nice experimental post..

best regards
suzy
