Hello brother

1st of all I loved the soft focus :)

She has beautiful adorable eyes :)

I am not sure, if the soft focus was intentional or not but it goes pretty good with the pose, giving me the sens of deep thoughts/in her own world.

u've gone 1/6 (shutter speed) without a tripod??? common... next time make sure the ur shutter speed do not goes slower then the focal length (or at least not slower then 1/30 as this is a VR lens) :)

I am not a portraiture expert but i'd like to share few things which i've learned so far :)

I find the skin tones too soft, keep it more natural it'll look good.

Try to avoid some prominent colors in ur B/G which diverts viewers eyes from the beautiful model, or later in ur PP u can make em dull :)

Try avoiding the tilt-up face, it do not expose the proper profile (sorta flat it appears)

The eye contact makes the portrait strong :)

Shoot at the wider available aperture to get the narrow DOF.

Hi Mustafa...I think you did a very nice job here..the composition is well managed and the light very soft which goes well with her coloring. This is an extremely slow shutter speed and very difficult to get sharp..you did a remarkable job. I would have bumped up the ISO and shortened the shutter to about 1/60 sec if possible. It may have worked to open up the aperture to your widest to gain some speed as well.

Keep it up..you have a great eye.

I would just sharpen around the eye. Well composed, with effective tight framing, & a good shallow dof. I like the pastel colours. Good exposure on the highlights. Tfs!

I read with interest the comments and critiques offered by the sites's portrait specialists. They are most quite helpful and elucidating. As for me, I like this. There is mighty fine skin tone, her red curly hair is a special feature. Although she does not look directly infront of the cam, the focus of her eyes is adequate. A well done portrait. I like the feeling of this shot - a very natural moment, almost candid, with compositionally strong placement of her eye within the frame.

The intimacy comes from her gaze being off-camera; with the fingers-in-the-mouth suggesting an unawareness of your presence (I know not the case, but the impression is skillfully created.)

Background could potentially have been better-chosen, I find the yellow leads my eye away a little, but it's nothing major and easily fixed by some desaturation in post-process. :)

Personally I would not have used the vignette effect but that is very much a matter of choice.

The lighting is well managed and propper use of soft skin mode
A little bit sharpness (at least edge sharpness) works better

her name is the same as her hair colour.. typical for someone with this hair colour have this so fair delicate skin.. looks like baby.. wonderful potrait shot you done of her.. like her natural pose.. good one..
