Battered by the Rain
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Yesterday was a funny sort of day. Weather-wise.
I had admired the flowers in my parents' garden in the afternoon and then there was a very heavy rainstorm. After the rain, it was still rather dark but I spied these flowers making a valiant recovery from the battering they had received.
I hope you like this one - converted from RAW and sharpened a little. Any advice would be welcome. |

Hello John,
I'm glad you gave us the information in your notes because this photograph epitomises what you have been describing. This beautiful little flower is bedraggled, and rain-swept! In fact, you could almost say the raindrops look like tears. But you have captured it just as it is! Lovely composition, colours and dof.
Kind regards,
Bev :-)
Hi John
The vivid colours you have captured contrast well with the miserable weather we have had.
Love the droplets, and dof.
Regards
Philippa

Superb capture, John! I love the colours and details in this. The off-centre comp works very well.
I do have a question for you. I shot these same flowers in the U.K. earlier this month but have no idea what they are called. Can you enlighten me please???
