[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is another picture taken in my parents' back garden last weekend after the lovely flowers had received an enormous battering from a heavy rainstorm. Despite this, most seemed to be making a valiant recovery.

I'm not quite sure what this flower is - there were lots of them on a rather tight little bush and this flower seemed to survive the onslaught of the rain better than most of the others. In fact, had it not been for all the raindrops on the flower, I should have called this picture "Fried Egg" because this flower reminded me of one!

Hi John - I like the 'fried egg' comparison!

Good tight crop, some lovely detail and the black background works well and helps bring out the colours nicely...but I do have doubts about the red frame, it doesn't seem to gel with the rest of the composition for me.

But aside from that, it's a very pleasing image, well done!
