Hi Craig, really beautiful and unique shot here. I really love how you used subtle partial desaturation to keep those stunning and powerful eyes in color, and that also draws an essential connection between the mother and baby. The child relies on the mother, and it comes from her. Really beautiful tones, the tones in the fur really bring out its texture, while the tones in the background with the subtle spots of light circles makes the shot incredibly dynamic and full of mood. I like how we can still see slight hints of green or cool tones in the background, as well as slightly cool tones in the foreground, it sets this photo apart from other partial desaturation shots. Excellent focus, great clarity, and the shot is sharp. The use of somewhat diffused lighting coming from the top left softly highlights the ears and the mother's left-hand limb, but it allows the textures and details to really come through. The tight vertical cropping and framing, as well as the point of view at-level with these fuzzy critters, makes for an intimate look at the bond between the mother and child. Only one little thing I will nitpick though: I find the cropping of the fingers at the bottom edge a little distracting and breaking the continuity. Otherwise a photo that so far is pretty underrated. TFS!

Lemurs! I love them .....

regards, nice shot here

Craig, this is an exceptional picture. Funny there are so few comments. Either the community is getting smaller or quieter as I find it odd that out of 25 viewers, only 2 have something to say about such a fine photo. I've like what you've done with the discoloration. I'm liking that soft buttery bokeh.
