[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took this picture in a rush as these men were not too keen on being photographed - after asking nicely and being persistent they agreed on being photograph but in a way that they can not be recognized - dont know why as they are the cops !

Anyways the reason for taking this pic was to portray the theme "Role of gender in society" for an online competition - i quite liked the end result after adjusting a few things in Photoshop and thought it would do great as my debut at Trek Lens

Any comments and suggestions for improvements would be highly appreciated.

Welcome to TrekLens Mustafa

Eyecatching subject, and your separation of the officers from their background is effective, am I right in thinking it was done in post-processing, rather than an effect of the lens?

One suggestion - if you cannot include the feet of your subjects, crop the shot even higher, perhaps mid-thigh or just above the knee. To "cut them off" at the ankles seems messy, especially when there is so much negative space above their heads!

I look forward to seeing more

Asalam o Alikum jiger ;)

Welcome to TL, A very decent start.
I like the focus and vivid colors, nice very nice :)
at the same time the feed back of Rew is constructive keep the point in mind in ur next shot :)

Read the Chapter no 3 of "The Digital Photography book" where Kebly discuss about cropping (framing)

Give some Active space in shots like this, off-center is always more interesting/appealing then centered compositions ;)

Once again a very warm welcome, do read the TOS of TL, exchanging critiques will let others to have a look at ur gallery and its the way u'll offer em to give u feed back :)

TL is a very good site to learn :)

TFS (Thanks for Sharing)

Cheers

Hi Mustafa

Not bad for a beginner. Good use of a shallow dof & differential focus, isolating the 2 fg policemen. I would include their feet next time. Adequate sharpness & good colour & light contrasts. Tfs!

Good Result / W C to TL..
