[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Loch Arklet, in the Trossachs, close to the Western end of Loch Katrine. I had been passed here a couple of times previously and wondered what was along the road on the right-hand side. I drove along, discovered that Loch Lomond is there and drove back to take this. It was an extremely humid day, so the distant mountains are a little hazy.

8 pictures stitched together using hugin, then cropped, colour adjusted, sharpened and framed in Gimp.

Bonjour David,
Un paysage magique avec les couleurs du soleil couchant.
J'aime beaucoup le reflet dans le Loch avec les nuages au loin.
C'est superbe

Beautiful shot, and a great view.

I would advise to post a large version of it, it will surely look so much greater to explore the view on our monitors.

Well done.
Tom

Hi David!

Great panorama you got here. Nice light, the lonely tree breaking the foreground a bit of softness. I like it, but why did you not post it as a panorama?! You can upload bigger shots if they are panorama!

To upload a panorama first you need to post an image with a ratio of 2.5 between the length and the height. For example a picture with a maximum 800 pixels length and 320 pixels height.

After you post it, in the manage section near the Edit, Delete, etc options will also be available the Large Panorama option. You click it and an upload screen for the panorama will appear. The panorama must have a maximum of 4000 pixels width and I think 800 pixels height. The size must be of < 400kb.

Hope it helps!
Dennis

so, this is the wonderful place where legend started? or is it true? What a magical place, love your pov, great colours, sharpness and loving the one and only tree (which I can see) there, you have done a wonderful job on stiching them together, excellent composition, and presentation. Thanks for sharing

cheers,
Sweety

Hi David,
This stretched photo seems to be 1 image. One can't see that it are more pictures. Great pp work done!
The end-result is great. One can feel the atmosphere in it.
greetings,
Joop!
