[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This section of the A83 Trunk Road is affectionately known as the Rest and Be Thankful. There is a fine view at the summit whih is 860 feet on the road leading from Loch Long to Loch Awe via Glen Croe and past the picturesque Butterbridge into Glen Kinglas. This view shows the newer road and the original road built in the 1700s.
Again shot was taken by pentax k1000 and later scanned to computer.

Hello David,

A fine shot with lots of f/g interest from the wild flowers (ragwort?) and the tall grasses.
There is a superb feeling of depth along the valley with several, snaking lines to lead the eyes forward.
Good proportional composition and colours which fit the environment perfectly.

Have a good day,
Bev :-)

hi David this is one o my favorite roads in Bonnie Scotia it is always stunning scenery no matter what time of year you visit you have captured it well regards bryan

Hi David,

I like that road for biking but most of the time I traveled up or down it I have been driving heavy goods vehicles. It is indeed a beautiful when you stop to look about and you have captured it well. TFS

Jon

hi David

I like the name. As if the people who pass through this place never rest and never thankful :)) Good humour.

This kind of landscape will surely be very attractive for passerby to appreciate the beauty of nature and take a stop to enjoy the scenery. Good presentation in your composed view of this countryside reached by A83.

Good work.

tfs, bill
