[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This poor little farmhouse has no eyes to see the beauty of the landscape it sits in. Robbed of its sight and life by the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust. The WWT took over this property to prevent farming disturbing wildfowl. Set on the Solway Firth this area is a SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest). While I applaud the efforts of the WWT I feel it is a shame that this house could not be used as an information and education visitor centre to breath life back into it. It looks quite sad.
ps One of the first pictures I posted on TE was of this place. It is still on site if you care to look.

It is a picture I am very fond of. Not because of any technical merit but because of the beauty of the place.
Picture cropped, that's all.
More images showing its beautiful setting in workshop.

It creates quite a sad atmosphere with the closed up windows. It is abeautiful little house and can be put to good use.

Hi Bev,
I like these old abondoned buildings. Especially when they are captured in such a wonderful way. The low POV and the great colored sky make the building look very impressive. No real nit to pick just that you have a few dust spots visable that can be cloned out.

Niek

Nice shot, it reminds me of Father Ted's house ;-)

Totally agree with your sentiments Bev, hope to see this next week as I am having a holiday in the area. Great capture, here good exposure to keep the house white. and I love the deep blue sky. TFS

Hi, Bev.

What a gorgeous little house and what a shame it's not being used for its original purpose. What fun to restore it to its former glory - I can just imagine kicking off my boots at the door after a hard day then curling up in front of a great log fire with a dram! The telephone would have to go, though!

I did a wee workshop for you - I hope you're not offended - just to straighten the verticals - not sure if it's better or not!

Best Wishes,

John.

best regards.

Hi Bev! The best thing about this pic is the POV, resulting in a 3 point vanishing perspective. I like the colors and details too. You framed it well. Good comp. TFS,
Freddie :)

Hello Bev,

Very beautiful composition, and sharpness here. The contrasting colors looks great on that blue sky. TFS
