I keep telling myself that I should leave my dog at home when I venture out with my camera, but I never do. She knows as soon as she hears the click of the coat cupboard door that I am going out for a walk and is bounding about and putting on a squeaky voice to make sure that she doesn't get left behind. But she often spoils my shots by getting in the way or as in this case, frightening my prey.
This is the Solway shore and these are oyster catchers. There was a high tide and they had come in to the grassy merse as the sea covered their feeding ground. They were sitting quite peaceably and I was moving in on them as inobtrusively as I could, then my dog barged in and sent them skywards. So here I am again, posting a technically dodgy picture. But I like it anyway. Somehow it manages to convey the bright, frosty day and the birds' movement...but I would say that wouldn't I? My New Year resolution is to only post technically (IMO) perfect pics, is that possible? both in terms of my abilities and my resolution? time will tell! |

Hello Bev,
Reading his text box, in fact it is impossible you to do captures when it is accompanied.
I speak that, because when my small nephews go out with me and me am similar of giving some close, he doesn't have as, they pull my legs, my arms, wanting to go for everywhere. I understand what you pass when you go out with his pet.
I like the flight of the birds, the place should be beautiful, it is satisfactory the presentation seen in the form that it was removed.
Congratulations
All the best!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Hello Bev,
I must commend you for the composition, with many engaging elements including the birds in flight. The space devoted for sky and land is also classically proportional. Too bad your dog distracted to get a sharper take. My best regards and a happy new year. Danilo
Hi Bev! Besides the overexposure, focus, and low pixel quality, I can see that it's a lovely scene with some details on the moss and sea weeds and the flight of birds. Lovely moment.
Cheers!
Freddie :)
