[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Helleborus flowering in my garden. Its flower appears in winter and early spring above handsome dark green leaves.
Used my macro lens for the first time.
Lettered the border for the first time.
Now aren't I a clever girl?!!!
P.s. Please be gentle with your critique as I have been in bed ill with a flu type bug for several days and today is the first day I feel a little chirpier. :)

Hi Bev. I hope you are feeling better now :-)
So many "first times" here but you've done a beautiful job. Beautiful macro work with good DOF.I like the matching colour frame.
Well done.

Hello, Bev.

Glad to see you using that lovely lens to its best advantage and glad that you've staggered from your sick-bed to capture this shot. I hope you're feeling better!

Very nice focus on this one and great detail: the lettering is "Out of this World". You are indeed a very, very clever little girl!

Seriously, a very nice picture indeed!

Kind Regards,

John.

Hi Bev - the green tones here are very unusual and very effective, this is an attractive image. The details of the stamen (?) are excellent, very sharp. Maybe a slight crop from the right to decentralize the flower could work?

Hi Bev,
Breathtaking green tones.
Good and cleverly presentation of an elegant flower.

I love these 'winter roses'. They so often hide their flowers because they are so similar to the leaves - we miss out on their beauty.
And 100% for the framing and lettering - bravo Bev

There is no need to be gentle, Bev. I really love everything about this. The tone and how you have carried it to the framing, the POV , DOF and detail are so lovley. Your fist attempt with the lens and framing, has produced results you should be proud of. Well done.
Regards
Wanda
