[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
It's Mother's Day today and I received welcome cards from my sons. But not quite content without flowers I went out to find one for myself. I have used my new macro lens.
Little PP work, just a tweak of the levels and framing. Perhaps I should have sharpened but I forgot that step.

Hi Bev,
Have a nice Mother Day to you.
Your flower looks like a mother. A mother looks like a lamp shining over her children.

Very nice present and happy mothers day---how nice to see spring approaching---this is really well lit and I like it the way it is, sometimes sharpening just makes the image a little hard---Lynne

Great gift to yourself.
I am glad you also want it to share with us.
Great photo

Nice debut of the new macro lens. Beautiful detail, tones, and bokeh.

I don't know if this needs sharpening, more effective to let the lens speak for itself and not risk the harsh white ghosting of sharpening.

Very nice shot

Hi Bev !
nice one. I like how the white contrasts nicely with the darker surroundings.
Clever use of contrast.

Well done.
Best regards, Daniel

I am really hoping that you found this little treasure outside growing, Bev. It makes me think it is much warmer there, than here. The softness works ok on this flower with your dedication to Mother’s Day. Love the colour and DOF you used. 9 days and counting till I can see them for myself.
Warm Regards
Wanda

Beautiful composition and exposure. Personally I prefer a softer focus to a sharper one, so for me this needs no extra sharpening.
Thanks for sharing

Hi Bev
I often receive this kind of gifts "from me to me" Nice macro shot of the flower that looks like a street lamp. I find it a bit fuzzy though.

Maybe you could have sharpened it Bev, but I still enjoy this snowdrop, for it's grace and simple beauty. The light and the blurred BG make it a perfect picture.
