now i like this simple still life subtle and well presented. the harsh side light also works well here, did you try different exposures on this?
i would take 2-3 bracketed shots and put them into picassa to overlay them and had fun with the lighting dynamics.

You have got this just right!
The tulips make an excellent display in their vase with a wonderful soft shadow behind them.
The colours, including your very carefully co-ordinated frame, are pastel perfection!
This looks more like a painting than a photograph! Well done, my friend!

Definitely a must for my favourites!

I haven't been following your postings on TL much lately, as I don't come here quite as often as I do on TE.

This is a beautifully set up and arranged shot. You can't really often improve on natural lighting.

You've managed to cope with the wide range of exposure values from dark to light very well here.

There are a couple of very white petals at the top left, some might say burnt out, but I know from my Fritillary shot that there are really white parts in many images, and that's how they should look. If you try to darken them they just look dirty.

Good frame! - I like the pale colour you have introduced in the outer part.

Hello Bev,tulips are one of my favourites and this study in white is beautiful.It would look well hanging on the wall, as a framed print.
I like the shadows.Is the bg pale green or is the green tint reflected from the foliage?
It is a lovely arrangement.Everything is sharp.
