[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A rise in the ground above the river Annan by Hoddam is called Woodcockair. Here you can have a nice walk through woodland with occasional views over the river. There is a caravan park in the grounds of nearby Hoddam castle for those of you who have a caravan and would like to explore this beautiful part os a beautiful country that is Scotland.

Hello Bev,

A well chosen viewpoint with the off-centre path leading the eyes towards the trees. The tree on the right appears to be leading the way!
I particularly like the light and shadows creating a patchwork on the ground.
A good addition to the theme.

Hello Bev,

A fine picture with sharp and crisp detail.

The large older tree on the right seems almost to have a human form with its curving trunk and beckoning branches, as it stands in front of the straight younger trees that are planted in close formation behind.

The path with its patches of light and shade, leads neatly through the composition to the pale blue distant sky.
