[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A couple walk out across the Solway sands at Powfoot following the receding tide. Not much chance of anything, my husband opined. he should know has he has fished the Solway using the traditional method of haaf netting for thirty years.
PP work, crop, curves,USM sharpened by lassooing the couple.

Hello Bev, I really like this one, it's of course a minimal composition but it works my friend, well done!

Mario

Hi Bev

Simple but beautiful. A very artistic présentation with just a touch of color and a lovely reflection. I love it

Bravo
Serge

Hello Bev,

A very interesting idea - the couple and their reflections zing out from the nearly white surroundings. I like the framing too.

The woman provides virtually all the colour in the image, and acts as a focus for the whole picture.

My only niggle is that you have only used about a third of the available 300kb file limit here - a larger file would have had even more impact.

Mainly for my own amusement, and to practise a bit of PP, I have done a WS for you.

Regards,

Peter.

Excellent hi res artwork Bev, the couple are well positioned and teh remaining colour nice and bright. I like the fact that you left spots of colour here and there too. Good work,
David

Hello Bev,

An interesting shot!
Your composition and treatment directs the viewer straight to the focal point.
Just the reflection tells us the nature of the f/g.
The simple border adds class.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

the essential minimum, less is more ^^
efficient minimalism

Hi Bev,
Nice minimalist work.
I think it would also work well in Black and White.

Hello Bev!Very interesting the picture, the two men appearing in the big whiteness attract the eye. They are reflected nicely in the water, superb picture!:)

Hi,

minimalistic approach here makes this photo a real jewel.
The use of white overexposure brings vastness, infinity to this image...makes couple stand in another dimension...where there is only two of them. Their world...their moment. Beautiful isolation that enhances the connection between the couple...enhances their mutual devotion.

Compliments,
Jeri
