Cautionary verse
John loved tripe and onions
he thought the dish a great treat
it will cure my bunions he said
the cow style jelly
slid right down his belly
and he thought himself very well fed
after dinner he decided to rest
as his belly felt heavy like lead
(and not putting his theory to the test)
but he fell out of bed
and the cow laughed off its head
(in the style of Belloc)
I tried writing in the style of Roald Dahl but this transmogified into something closer to Belloc. A travesty I know but I hope John (TL member tyro) will find this amusing after our discussion about old fashioned meat dishes. |

Hi Bev,
This has certainly got the Pink Floyd stamp on this shot (maybe the cow is related to the one on the album cover) :-). That aside the colours are great and there is nice sharp detail and that is a great poem. Well done.
Regards
Jon

I guess I'm just a farm girl at heart :) I like this very much. The cow is posed so sweetly for you, the bg is nice as well. Very good pov. TFS

Thank you, Bev!
Absolutely Hilaire - ious! And a wonderful little ditty written by a Dumb Friesian about a coo and me! I am indeed honoured!
Oh, and the picture. Very nice indeed with wonderful colours and a delightful and restful background with a fabulous sky. I think it could, perhaps, just be a tad sharper but I think Priscila's workshop has taken contrast and sharpening just a little too far.
Best Wishes and many, many thanks!
Your flattered friend,
John.
