[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Yesterday morning and it had hit below 5. I went out with my camera but a fog accompanied the hard frost. The sun struggled to come through and in the end receded behind a blanket of grey. It was as cold as it as ever been for a very long time.

Very nice Bev. Looks frezing and you captured and portray that cold well. Good subdued lighting with excellent exposure.

TFS,
David

Hola Bev.
Excelente captura, que muestra lo crudo que va a ser este próximo invierno.
Un cordial saludo y tfs, JL.

And it worth it Bev! Good snapshot, I like a lot the frozen all around, the light of the sun it's impressive!
Well done!

Hi Bev

Nice winter scene, you have captured the details of the frost covered bushes and the mist well. Went out on Saturday to try something similar but never took one picture.

Hi Bev,
Original image of morning lights in wintertime. I like its dull, soft, greyish tones in the background, while in the foreground we can see some real frosty conditions in full sharpness and details. Great shot, it looks so mysterious. Well done, TFS!
Kind regards,
Kristof

Hello Bev,

You really have captured the cold and the mood!
I like the angle you have created with the gates, it gives a nice composition and two ways to view the shot.
I like the way you have shown the sun valiantly struggling but, alas ... to no avail!

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Bev,the coldness of the morning really comes through the screen;I think that it is the quality of light that conveys this feeling.
There are good textures in the gates, the hedge and the grass, all enhanced by the frost.
Tfs, regards Jean.

I like the lighting effect of the sun through the fog and the frosty gate and hedge - all combine to give that feeling of a classic frosty morning.
Thanks for sharing
Mark

hello Bev,
From living in the UK, I remember so well this combination of fog, mist and the sun struggling to come through.
Beautiful lighting .
Nice compo with the gates.

Hello Bev !!!

Looks warm to us (^_^) here. Yesterday was our warmest day in months with a comfortable +3 Celcius . By the end of the day it was -21 Degrees LOL ! Back to normal temperatures...

Seriously , cool ambiance captured . I think the composition would be even better with an element further in the foreground for a better 3-d effect. A closer POV to the fence or the frosty bush would have worked.

Stay warm (^_*)
Robert
