[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A summer's day last year. I like this shot even though my focus could be better. But oh! those lovely wild summer flowers in the BG. How I long for a summer like that one. This year as been wet, wet, wet and I hardly have any summer nature pictures from 2008.
ps my file size is small as I pp ed this before the rule change and don't have time to re-do it.

Beautiful bokeh here Bev. The reeds could be sharper, but this takes hard work as they move in the wind so much! Love all the colors here, they are beautiful!

Hello, Bev.

What a fine bouquet! Er, bokeh.

A funny word is "bokeh". It sometimes reminds me of a bunch of flowers but, at other times, it sounds like someone vomiting. Do you get wet bokeh and dry bokeh? There surely must be a better word to describe the fuzzy background in a photograph. But, I suppose, unless you are familiar with the Scottish word "boke", it might not upset you!

Anyway, this is a fine example of bokeh. Fine colours reminiscent of summer or autumn and a very impressively out-of-focus background. I like the lighting on the reeds or stems in the forground.

Kind Regards,

John.

P.S. With this HBW theme, there doesn't seem to be any time/date reference for it. I mean, unlike Helen's Friday themes, the gallery just seems to be filling up as pictures are added: there doesn't seem to be a new gallery for each week - is that right?

Hello Bev,I have been studying the HBW theme and found this lovely shot of yours.
It is a shot which as you say evokes some pleasant memories. The colours are very pleasing. The focus ,as you know, could be better, but it really doesn't matter.
Tfs, regards Jean.
