I like the soft light which illuminates the vegetation in the fg,it has helped to create some lovely subtle colours.
The clouds are reflected in the smooth water of the river.

Hello Bev,

This is a fine picture and an excellent composition. That tripod-like structure in the water, and its reflection, plays a vital part here, and is perfectly placed within the image.

The muted colours throughout, and the contrast of the frosty FG grass with the warmer colour of the branches of the bushy thing on the bank, make for a very satisfying result.

Beautiful landscape shot - the lighting and composition just scream out "serene" (if thats not a contradiction!) and the contrasts in colours and textures between foreground, midground and background are superb.

Oh, Bev,
this is lovely!! There is something magical about early morning light and you have captured it wonderfully. I love how the light is just grazing the frozen grasses in the FG and the bush that is a nice focal point. Marvelous depth, beautiful soft color and a perfect stillness to the moment. That must have been a fabulous morning. Many thanks and best of all things in the new year!! Hope that handsome new grandson is doing well!
