Wishing for all TL members a Happy New Year and that any dark clouds that threaten you are banished by the sun shining through.
This was taken on the shore of the Solway Firth, a wild and beautiful place and a site of SSSI (Special Site of Scientific Interest)The house is a farmhouse on the edge of the shore. How wonderful to live with the company of the seabirds under a big sky.

Hello Bev,

A very dramatic, ominous sky coupled with a minimalistic view of the land.
I like it!

All my good wishes for a Happy and Prosperous New Year.
Bev :-)

Hi Bev,
Wishing you a happy 2009 too.
The lighting here makes this image work well, especially how the farmhouse is lit up by the sun. I love the low sunlight, but those heavy clouds do look a bit foreboding!
Cheers
Janice

Happy New Year and best wishes for 2009.... TFS

Hi,
What a place to live! Good light here although I might have moved the farmhouse in and up just a wee bit. One thing I noticed was the wee flock of birds in the distance above the building, nice touch, a minimal sharpening brings them out and improves the image I think. Happy new year, you'll be looking forward to the Burns celebrations! Thanks,
Dougie

Hi Bev -
Wishing you HAPPY 2009 too!
Thanks for the wish. I really appreciate it.
Very interesting image you presented here.

Hi Bev
You succeeded here in representing what I call "solutude",. A good use of natural light that hits the farmhouse. A lovely place to spend a couple of weeks, doing abolutly nothing but reading and making photos. No sunbathers on the beach, no sunscreen perfumes, nobody in sight, that's paradise.
Thanks for sharing an have a happy and healthy New Year.

Serge

Hi Bev

I do like to see this type of stormy light. You caught the colours and the feeling beautifully. I like the composition giving space for the elements
