[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Found in a small pond in the John Muir Park at Belhaven. Many toads were croaking away. As female toads do not make any noise, and this one was definitely croaking away, I am assuming this is a male.

The collective name for a group of toads is the descriptive 'knot of toads'.

Hello, Lisa.

Well, I didn't know that - a "knot" of toads indeed? Interesting.

I like this picture - he's a cute little fellow and you've caught the detail of his face beautifully. Wonderful pin-sharp focus on the most important bits - his eyes. There's lots of detail too in those bits of him under the water.

Very nice picture and an interesting note too.

Best Wishes,

John.

P.S. Q: How deep does a frog like the water to be? A: Knee-deep.
