December Sunset
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I was out walking at Gullane, East Lothian on a cold December day. The sun was setting showing wonderfull colours on the sand as the tide had just gone out.
I came onto this beach known as Freshwaterhaven Beach just below the famous Muirfield Golf Course when I saw this amazing view. The view is across the beach, over the Firth of Forth with Arthurs Seat, Edinburgh in the background.
Looking through the camera all I could see was a mass of red as the camera seemed not to be able to cope with what it was seeing. I started taking a number of shots of this just to see how they would turn out. No filters, nothing special, just point it and see what happens.
I was pleased with the results, this picture I think is one of the best in the group of pictures I took of this view.

Very good and powerful colours in this sunset. I like the reflections on the wet sand and the red and yellow tones

Hi John & welcomne to TL
An extremely good 1st post, with marvellous colour, graphism & silhouettes. Superb reflections in the wet sand. Coincidentally, I also uploaded a sunset today. Enjoy TL!
Wow! I have no words to describe this photo! I love it!
Regards,
Carla
Wonderful sunset!
It looks like if the sky is burning and everything is on fire. Great composition.
Fabulous image.
