[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I went to East Lothian today first stop was for a shot at the Bass Rock which is a bird sanctuary but has been a prison in Napoleonic times for POW's. This shot was taken just before we got to North Berwick just along from Tantallon Castle. As you can see the weather was absolutely great the sun was quite hot.
I would like to thank Don Lees for the day out and for the tips along the way.

hi jon,
looks like you had some good weather.

nice composition.
only one thing i find disruptive and that is the horizon.
it could do with a lift from the left corner.

honest, i'm not a member of the 'horizon police' ;-)

Brian

Hi Jon,
Great shot, the horizon also distracted my eyes a bit but I like the composition you've used. Nice POV too.

TFS,
Scott.

Hi Jon
This is a nice image of a rock with blue sea and the blue sky with a little bit of interest in the foreground. The horizon needs to be straightened up otherwise good. Regards
Balwant

Nice shot of the Bass rock. Nice weather certainly makes a difference. Im not going to repeat everyone by saying that the horizon needs straightening. (Im just glad you used a fast enough shiutter speed to avoid blur on the rock as it slides to the left.) Sorry about the bad humour. Ive done enough of this shots myself. I like the fg where the hill is in shadow and the rocks are in the sunlight.I love the Forth and the surrounding area. TFS
warm regards
David
