| This is the river Tyne which flows through the small market town of Haddington in East Lothian, and these falls are localy known as the Cascades, i was born and raised in this town and i have spent a little time back there recently after the recent death of my mother, beyond the trees to the left is a beautiful 18 hole golf coarse and many fishermen and poachers alike have fished this streach of the river trying to bag that elusive huge sea trout, the town itself is very much a place to visit with many interesting facts surrounding its history , the banks of this river burst many years ago and left the small town flooded to about 2 meters in height, and the famous John Knox lived here and the high school which i attended was named after him and still is known today as the Knox Academy, there will always be a special place in my heart for this little market town on the east coast of Scotland, hope you enjoy the image. |
