[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This a shot from the butterfly world the Derona and I went the other day, I was in there for at least 20 minutes before I could take a shot as the lens kept steaming up. I found it very difficult to get good shots because of the lighting but got there in the end. This is a shot of one of the many exotic plants that a grown here I don't know what it is so if anyone knows please let me know.

Hi Jon,
Good shot of the exotic, dont know what it is but you have photographed it well. Nice bluring in the background and the colours are good. It looks like it may have been quite a big one by the size of the leaves round it. TFS

Hi Jon,
Great shot, I don't know what it is, but it is one strange exotic plants… Great depth-of-field, with good composition… Great to see you adding a frame to it.. I think they do make for a better presentation…

Hi Jon,
Very intriguing looking flower. Definitely haven't seen anything quite like this before. Fantastic focus and tones. The evenly balanced lighting casts a great mood over the photo. The composition works really well too.

TFS,
Scott.

Hi Jon,
Nicely framed close up of this exotic flower, good clarity as well.
Your determination has paid off.
Regards,
Matt

Okay, allow me to end the mystery! The plant is called Pachystachys ... or (common name) Lollipop Plant. (I worked in horticulture for many years, and learned a lot of useless information ... also a lot of useful information:)
Good job on getting this shot. I like the straight-on POV, and good composition with the stem coming from the bottom right. It seems as though you could have boosted the contrast just a little, but still a good shot.

At first I thought it was a Jackalope a famous Texas Legend! This is a strange plant! I also was at a steamy butterfly museum a while back..I was dripping by the time I got out of there! Hard shooting, but it pays off if the sun is shining! Interesting plant, I've never seen one before!
