Very simple but very effective, the peir entrance is perfectly positioned below the horizon, perfectly suited to monochrome.

A lovely B/W James. It does very well for this square composition.
In fact I suspect the sky to be dull and grey with these clouds and that's never very good for an image such as this, except when there's really threatening clouds, but that doesn't seem to be the case here.
A lovely shot; peaceful.
