This is my son Michael demonstrating his new hobby. He likes juggling and has taken to using a fire pole. Like this one a lot, no flash and love the concentration on his face.

Nice action image, Peter! I love the concentration, and the lighting on his hands and face. I think the choice of shutter speed is apt here, not too much of a stretch but still a great deal of motion. The background is a bit contrasty. Would have wanted slightly shallower dof. Otherwise, well done!

Hi Peter,

Nicely captured, I would have an intense look as well if I were juggling a fire pole. Hot, hot, hot, ouch!!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Mike

I like fire juggling.
Well done.

Wow! This is really something different from you Peter. I am used to your lovely landscapes. Well done on the exposure for this one. It must have been ticky. As you say, the concentration on your son's face makes this a great shot. Well done.

Hi Peter. Well captured. The look of intensity, the motion blur and the colour all terrific. TFS,
David

Hi Peter,

I see your son has a very interesting hobby!! And he seems very capable of doing it! :)

Hi Peter, in fact our son who lives in London, also juggles like this, and I wish I had had the presence of mind to attempt a shot like this when he demonstrates his talents. You really did freeze a magical moment here. The only problem is that one has to scroll to see all, but that is of course a problem with the screen and not with the photo.

Hi Peter

The thing that stuck me about this picture was the beauty and grace of your sons hands. They would make a stand out cropped image .

Great photo and memory captured for both of you to look back on.

Thank you

Taylor

Hi Peter,

Impressive shot! Nice tight composition, moody lighting and very nice motion. Well done!

Lovely action shot, love the movement int he flame and the concentration on his face...

And the light on his hands, just wonderful. The Nikon D200 is going well for you huh? :)

Must say that I am thinking about it now... a new camera that is... I have played with these fire staffs before myself, a lot of fun... :)

Thanks for a great picture. :)

Francis
