[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Shot taken late afternoon in one of the small streets of St Andrews, Fife. St Andrews is famous for lots of things including it's university where prince william attended also for being known as the home of golf. It is a beautiful town full of photo opportunities well worth a visit if you get the chance.

I really like this moody shot Peter. The backlighting from the sun works very well putting your subjects into silhouette. Well done, Paul.

You got a very good chance and well took advantage of it. The exposure is just perfect, and the picture is very well composed.
Well done,

Liron.

Difficult lighting, well exposed. Nice moody shot.

Great composition. The sunlight gives the figures an almost ethereal look, and the pale colours and long shadows make for a mysterious, almost sinister mood. A well captured moment.

Reminds me of the BBC mystery series we see on PBS in the US. Well composed and the light is just right to capture the complete shadows.

hello peter
J'aime beaucoup cette photo, son ambiance bleue, les ombres portées par les deux personnes et les deux lanternes; belle composition et très belle ambiance

Your note made me go back and discover this. I see what you mean and I agree entirely: similar tastes and similar eye. Backlight is such a nice thing to work with if you can make it work. I think I would have transformed this to black and white though to eliminate that dominating blue tinge.

Fantastic lighting Peter, in fact everything combines to make this a really great shot. I'll add it to my favourites.

A good capture giving chances to composing experiments. Very good.

I love the old stone walls, and the light around the people! Some day I might be able to see all this myself. If not, I travel by internet there!
