[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi Folks, it's been a while since I popped in; work commitments unfortunately come first.

This is an image taken at a local vintage rally (Lathalmond, near Dunfermline, Fife) a few weeks ago, I'm afraid I don't know the car make, but it is a lovely old thing, perfectly cared for and still in it's original glory.

It was quite a well spent couple of hours, loads to photograph and it was a lovely sunny day (most of the time, it is Scotland remember ;) )

Comments welcomed, Gary

Hello, Gary.

Hi! Long time no see.

I rather think that this beautiful machine is a Lagonda perhaps just a year or two younger than this one which I photographed last year at the Biggar Vintage Rally. It really is a beauty and you have captured it very well indeed.

I'm not so sure about the dark, vignette-type frame - I was hunting the web to confirm the make of the car and I came across this same picture which you have posted on your Mitsubishi site - I think that photograph looks better without the frame.

Just a wee pity about the big bruiser next to the Lagonda - I think it might be a big American Packard but I'm not sure.

Best Wishes,

John.

Hi Gary..this is a nicely composed shot...great details and sharpness.

Hi Gary, long time, no see....good to see you back... methinks the car could be a Lagonda, not too sure, but Alvis did a "Speed 20 A" very similar in shape... it is a stunner though, I used to inhabit the Doune Motor Museum.... excellent place to see class cars... including single seater masseratis and other exotica... regards h

Hello Gary,

Hi Gary, I would tend to agree with some of the other comments that this is a Lagonda, probably a 1933 to'33 tourer or sports. There is a photo on Wikipedia of a 1931 2 Litre, you can see the similarity between the front scuttle under the radiator and the shape of the running boards but the car in your shot is much better looking. Nice one! Best regards, Les
