[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
From the Knockhill round of the European Drift Championship (EDC).
This is a Nissan 350z doing a spectacular drift along the start/finish straight.

The sport which originated in Japan some years back is a great spectator/photographer sport with plenty action and smoke! The cars and drivers are judged on the length of drift/s, style and the spectator "clapometer".

Great day out if you ever have the opportunity.

This is a 1/320th sec. panning shot where the moving car is sharp but the shutter speed was slow enough to keep the wheel spinning.

Hello, Gary.

Well this looks good fun, just so long as you don't have to buy your own petrol and your own tyres!

A fabulous picture though - fantastic sharpness and very expert panning indeed - the background is very nicely blurred but the car is razor-sharp.

Excellent!

Best Wishes,

John.

P.S. Is this a new lens you've been getting? What does "IF" stand for? Do you like the Sigma 70-200? I don't think it has image stabilisation though, does it?

Hiya Gary

Waahooo this is awesome good sharp detail on the Nissan and movement showing in the wheels, lovely angle too. I would maybe have left just a tad more space at the front to allow for forward movement in the frame but thats just personal opinion.

TFS regards Helen

Very professional capture, very sharp and good exposure. I can hear and smell like as I was there. Congratulations.
