This is my first attempt to capture some sort of pattern. Its a picture of recently built picket fence in my office backyard. I have tried to focus on the darker plank in the middle. I have adjusted some curves and levels in PS too.
All comments and suggestions to improve are most welcome. |

Hello Mustafa,
If your intention was to focus on the darker plank, then you reached your goal. Problem is, at least to me, that it makes your image look quite uniform and not very captivating. You have a strong depth of field and, consequently, not much variation in sharpness.
I would have focussed on one of the planks on the foreground and have used a much wider aperture (f/2.8 for example), in order to make depth of field shallower, i.e. in order to obtain a fence that rapidly becomes blurred. That effect of fading away would be more captivating to look at, I think.
Of course, this is only my personal opinion. Feel free to (dis)agree ;o).
TFS & kind regards,
Erik

I like the pattern here most, nice play of light and shadows effective POV and nicely exposed but at the same time i agree with Erik, u might have used narrower DOF, focusing on a single picket of fence, it'd bring more interest for the viewer.
In addition u could get rid off the small triangle of ground for no distraction :)
Keep shooting ;)
