[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This picture was taken yesterday at the busy little fishing village of Pittenweem in the East Neuk of Fife. Taken from the harbour wall looking northeast towards the eastermost part of the village, piles of nets, lobster pots, boats and other equipment lie in front of the beautiful houses with their pantile roofs and crow-stepped gables.

You can read a lot more about Pittenweem on the wonderful "Undiscovered Scotland" website here.

Actually, GoogleEarth has improved a lot around here - you can see an excellent image if you click on Map: [view].

Shot in RAW and converted and edited in PSE6.

Hello John,

This is a great shot.
The f/g colours, shapes and textures are an attractive feature. The receding stone wall makes an impressive lead towards the delightful houses and the interesting boats.
Your dof is perfect to include all these delicious details.
A great postcard to advertise the beauties of Scotland.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hi John,

Nice composition and lovely saturation,it actually looks a nice day, I just got back from a week on Skye, horrendous weather, but good for moody shots.
