Cairngorms National Park, Scottish Highlands. The rich dark colours make me think of a cake with a sponge made by adding black treacle and brown sugar to the mix.The scale of these mountains can be seen by the farm that is barely visable.
It needs something in the foreground for a good compo but hey-ho you can't have everything :))

Hi Bev,
It must have been a very nice scenery with the snow-capped highlands, but the overexposed sky is a problem here. It totally melts together with the snow which spoils the photo. Obviously it's not easy to take such photo under these light conditions. TFS.
Kind regards,
Kristof

Hello Bev,

Very good landscape with beautiful colors and excellent lightness and contrast.
Very well done and framed.
Congratulations and TFS.
Sergio

Hello Bev,

Some tremendously strong contrasts of colour and light and dark in this image.

However, I can't correlate what Kristof says about the OE sky with what I see on my new monitor, less than 4 weeks old. To me the sky is a lovely pale blue, and completely distinguishable from the snowy mountains. The tiny houses give a good sense of scale to the majestic scenery.

A fine perspective, as the lines of the hillsides recede with their attractive shades of brown and green towards the distant snow- clad mountains. On the left side the change in contrast is abrupt, but I don't see how that could be avoided.

A fine picture.

Regards,

Peter.

Merhaba Bev,nefis manzara,sıcak renklerin yanı sıra karlı dağları görmek,dağlardaki ihtişamın göstergesi.Harika bir fotoğraf, ellerine sağlık :)

Hello Bev
What a series of rich colors you have captured there. Lines going in all directions, round hills and cool icing on the whole scenery.
Nicely done
Serge

Hello Bev..I think you have handled the light pretty well, seeing there is a vast change in the colours here.. the colours are beautiful.

I went through scenery like this on the way to Balmoral Castle in June..is that near here?..that name Cairngorms National Park rings a bell.

Thanks for sharing
kind regards
Dawn
