[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Took this on the homeward bound trip and went the long road down the A82 from Inverness to Fort William then to Crianlarich, Stirling then home. I really can't remember how far were from the start point when we stopped in one of the many lay-byes in this road and I crossed the road to look at this view.
I cropped slightly from the left and sharpened before uploading to TL. I hope that you like it.

All c and c's welcome.

Hello Jon

Nice to have a break in the infamous cloudy conditions to let some of the Scottish Beauty come thru. Nice POV.

Hello Jon,

Wonderful capture.
Beautiful landschape.
Very nice natural colors.

TFS and greetings from Netherlands,
Adri

Hi Jon,

I like the POV and overall composition here. It's always easier to play Monday-morning quarterback (second guess), but I would have liked to see a bit more DOF with this type of shot. I thinks a higher ISO setting may have allowed for a smaller aperture like f/22. For colors and view a smiley is still in order :)

Regards,
Werner

Just looking at your shutter speed Jon and 30th of a second is a slow speed for distance and landscapes (even with a wide angle lens). It runs the risk of camera shake. I think with a faster shutter speed you may have had a sharper picture. Lovely colours and light both with the puffy colouds and on the water.
Warm regards
David

Hello Jon.
Nice piece od Scotland presented here.
Good and effective view.

Hello Jon,

I love the view.
Scotland always has that uplifting effect probably because of its wild beauty.

However, the focus seems to be on the f/g rather than those beautiful hills. I have done a w/s for you where I have sharpened and revived the colours a little. I hope you are not offended by my 'messing' and that you find it useful.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Jon

Well, what can I say about this shot.
Beautiful scenery and weather, nice composition and POV but it is out of focus, this would probably have been one of your fineset shots if you had just got the focus right.
Bet you are kicking yourself not having taken a little longer when shooting this one.

Regards Derek

Hi Jon,
Great view point of the hills, there are loads of great shots to be taken to, from and in the great Glen, this one no exception. I do think you have gone a bit astray with the focus on this one tho. TFS
Bri

nice scenery Jon good pov the water is excellently shot but sadly the focos one the hills let you down a little like david says maybe you had the wrong shutter speed but good effort
bryan

Hello Jon,
it is a great POV, but despite the f/11, it didn't seem to have a great depth field, or maybe it lost same sharpness in reducing dimensions. Beautiful colors.
Ciao, Elena
