Another shot from last weeks trip to Skye, the weather was terrible most days but as can happen quite often you get some lovely sunsets later in the evenings.

Hi Douglas,
Very beautiful and interesting this photo.
Very nice landscape with an exceptional achievement.
Have a pleasant evening,
Adrian

WOW Nice work Douglas! I was thinking F16 that late in the day? But it worked well for you, keeping the sun toned down a bit! Love the warm rays hitting the top of the waves! The blue and orange are so nice together! Nice work!

Hi Douglas,

frankly I'm not convinced at all by your treatment here. I like so much the compo and also the levels are well managed according to my taste at least. Instead I find quite weird the yellow which is overwelming all the rest of the palette, keeping the overall effect away from a sunset scenary (just me of course). Neverthless I must also say that I've never been in Scotland, so it is of course possible that you can find there such colours ;)

ciao

Beautiful sunset!
Love it!

Hi Douglas,
I am tempted to write that I partially agree with Marco on the colors. But I do like what I am seeing. My worries are more on a technical site. The first is the lack of sharpness in the front rock. It seems it just fell out of focus. My second is the lens distortion visible in the horizon. The first could have been overcome with propper focussing, the second with a little lens correction in your PP program.
I do like the composition and the motion in the water.
TFS,
Niek

Dear Douglas
Great freezing of water in this nice sunset scene...the color spectrum of sky is well captured, the rule of third is a right choice here...
I am always learning of your shots...
Thank you
Alireza
