The old and the new

| An ancient dead Caledonia pine next to the new growth of the Rowan tree, I also liked the movement of the berries in the wind giving an almost painterly effect. |

Hi Douglas,
Quite a special image. A fine well balanced composition, stunning DOF (what shutter speed did you used?)The saturation looks a bit overdone though. nonetheless an awesome view well captured.
Hans
Your colors are always amazing Douglas! I love the twisty wood, one of my favorite things to drag home is driftwood! I love to jus throw it in the garden! Nice colors, love the blue in the water, against the warmer colors!
B-)

Nice composition. A photo beyond reality. To my taste little too far. It's a matter of option, but for me it to much saturation. The picture didn't need it.
hi douglas,
i missed an opportunity at this spot.
the colours are fab. the heart of the old pine tree seems to be alive in your image.
as usual i am jealous.
Brian
Lovely image capturing something but not quite sure what
Agree with the other posters who mentions just a trite too much saturation
Its caused the rowan to almost melt into the grass. (edit noted that this is a HDR image which explains away the rowan)
thats never a good thing
still a well framed capture
cheers
