[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Taken on a recent trip up North, took very few photographs due to the mist and rain. This was taken on the way home, the river was very fast flowing due the rain the days before.
This is a very popular are for tourist, walking and fishing being the main passtimes.

Created an HDR in Photomatix from a single image.
Cropped slightly and added a frame in Paint Shop Pro.

Hello Derek
Beautiful capture and excellent idea of doing HDR
The rich tones looks beautiful.
I liked the effects of 1 sec shutter but in my opinion may be 3 sec would have given more beautiful smoky effects but it certainly requires low light :)

Good composition, clarity and sharpness.

Nice shot! perfect shutter speed.

Hello Derek,

Really nice image with great POV and composition. Good exposure, DOF and focus.
The water effect is high-ranking.

I'm glad I opened this image up... Superb slow shutter image with immaculate sharpness on the bits that don't move and the 1 second blur of the water as the main subject...

Very good work with the ND filters here Derek!!

Cheers
David

Beautiful shot showing one of my favorite areas in Scotland. You make me feel quite nostalgic for the old country. I used to ride my motorcycle to Scotland every year when I lived in the Uk and took plenty of shots (in between the showers like you)Nice use of hdr, nice low pov , good composition and Nice work
warm regards
David

Hello Derek,

What a fine pov from which to capture the cascading water. You have taken advantage of the f/g rocks and this low pov to make a great composition.
Although I usually prefer to see the water bubbling over the rocks, this slow shutter speed has produced a lovely silky effect.
Well done.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Derek,

This is art to me buddy. I really like the way you captured it. Time release to blur the water, but very vivid. Very well done.

Bonjour Derek.
Un bon travail d’exposition a donné cette belle image et le choix du temps de pose lent donne de la vie à la photo.
J’aime bien ce genre de prise de vue en mouvement,
Bonne journée.
