[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
this is a pile of old roof slates. they used to be on the stables until my friend decided to put corrugated panels on instead.
they sit in a corner of the yard gathering moss and lichen.
when i asked my friend why he kept them his reply was,
"you never know?"

pp as before.

thanks to all those who have commented on this series so far.

Hello Brian,
Great lighting and contrasts, this picture really conveys that these tiles have served well! Shame they have been made reduntant now, but I'm sure not for too long!!!!
Regards
Philippa

How-do Brian
Good texture in the shot, and nice parallel lines. Great stuff.
He's a man after my own heart, the wife's always trying to get me to get rid of stuff, that I might need someday.... lol

Hi Brian
What beautiful textures you have here. The lighting and details are amazing.
Regards Jozef...

I find your gallery interesting Brian. Like this one. Your eyes are blessed to see photographic images and captured it with your gadgets. The composition is artistic. The sepia color suited it well.

Have a nice day.

Hello, Brian.

Unless you are, like me, a dedicated hoarder, you will never know. I have sparkplugs for a car which went to the scapyard nearly 40 years ago. But slates are, I believe, quite valuable and I think your friend is wise to keep them - ? for a rainy day? :o)

A nice picture, again from a master of monochrome and sepia, with good exposure and sharpness. Just wait until the lichens and moss take over - you should get some nice colour pictures then. Colour - have you heard of that?

Excellent!

Best Wishes,

John.

Brian Hi:
I have taken the evening on this image to think. I very much like the composition and its inclusion within your sepia series of art. For me, the complexity and defination of hard lines and the use of light and shadows makes this image work very very well. Excellent presentation for your theme. Congratulations.
