[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I thought I would try something different. This was once again taken on our overnight trip to Pitlochry, about half-way between the Queen's View and Lock Faskally. There was a great deal of this stuff, what I suppose to be some kind of bracken, all over the area, turned red with the onset of autumn. I liked this particular spot with the trees. I hope the composition does it justice.

I've tried to draw attention to the main composition with the border. This was basically a gray gradient layer on top of the background, using "screen" blend mode. I then blurred the image underneath the frame.
Other than that, I used an inverted contrast mask and slight adjustments of the colour curves.

Hi David,
I really like this! I like the composition of just the trees and bracken. The colours are great and I like the frame too, it's different! TFS :-)
Cheers Tina

The composition is very interesting David, a special one with your original frame.

Hi David, I love the close-up here, with full details in the image like the moss on the tree, the leaves very sharp, the colours and the low pov.

Very well done. It makes me think of the recent photos of Don Paulson, one of my favourite photographer.

But I am not too keen on the border imho. I would prefer to see more of the photo.

Overall, very well done. Cheers, Yan :)
