[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
One of my favourite end-products of the last year. I took 3 exposures of this scene to grab the full dynamic range. I have fallen out with HDR imaging, so for this one I went back to the tried-and-tested method of blending 3 layer; one for the fore-ground, one for the sky and one to transition between the two. Fortunately, Loch Tay was very still this day, so there is little change in the surface of the Loch between the exposures.

I know I didn't follow the rule of thirds, but I wanted the sky, as well as the lead-in line at the bottom of the frame.

Hi David,
Great colors and composition in this shot. The reflections of the sunlight looks nice on the water.

Hello David. Good capture and P.P. work. I have been experimenting with a few HDR software packages, as yet nothing worth posting. I'm not sure why but T.L. is not allowing me to give you any points. I will call back later when I find out why. Thanks for sharing.

Regards Phil.

Hello David
A very nice shot of Loch Tay, nice lead in to picture, good colours shot at the right time to catch plenty of detail. I wouldn't worry about it following the rule of thirds if it works it works!
