Into the light above loch Tummel in Perthshire, this has been one of the best years for a long time for Autumn colours in Scotland, it was just perfect standing in this lovely area of woodland.

Hello Douglas,
The way the dark tree trunks stand out against the autumn colours really is impressive. This image must be the photographical definition of the word "picturesque".
Nice composition, even though the texture of the water might give the impression that the photo is slightly tilted to the left (but it could be optical illusion). As often when viewing photos with very small apertures (> f/8.0), I think long distance sharpness could be a little better, but the palpable autumn atmosphere and the excellent light management largely compensate these small (technical) issues.
TFS & kind regards,
Erik

Hi Douglas,
Nice Autumn colors in this beautifully lighted capture of fantastic golden cast leaves!
Great backlighting and good management of light in this rather difficult situation!
Nice contrast between the foliage and the blue of the water and the sky.
Good presentation.
Regards,
Francis Xavier
Fabulous contrasts of light and shadow here Douglas.. The backlit glow of the trees is spectacular, the exposure is spot on and the composition very nice..
Nice to have this spot nearby!! No autumn season in my neck of the woods..

Fantastic scene with superb lighting
Great post processing using single RAW image (guess you've used of HDR technique)
Also many thanks for Jpegsizer, I'm going to try it
