took this shot a while ago when out with a fellow menber Jonela never got round to posting till today it was shot in raw format and resized i did a slight pp work using topaz detail thanks to RSK for pointing me there a brief note of the abbey is below ty for looking

Possibly the site of an earlier Christian sanctuary founded by St Moden, a follower of St Columba, Dryburgh Abbey is celebrated for its lovely position on the banks of the Tweed. The Premonstratensian Abbey was founded in 1150; it was one of six such foundations in Scotland. The canons had come from Alnwick in Northumberland. Enough of the Abbey remains for one to make sense of the canonical life. Much remains of the eastern side of the cloister eg the Chapter House, the Warming Room, the Parlour and the Library. Upstairs is the Canons' Dormitory.

A superb upward pov, on the interesting ruined Scottish Cathedral. Nothing like this in Australasia! Excellent sharpness although Id add a little warming colour (yellow/ red). Tfs!

This seems like a long time ago that we had that day out got some good shots though. The pov on this is great but the shot is very dark in parts topaz I presume. The presbytery stone looks very natural and the details are nice and sharp well done.

Nice PoV on this part of the Abbey, the stonework is a great colour, may be a little dark imo but not so much to be off putting. Great shot

Bryan, great catch of this wonderful old piece of architecture! You did good by photographing it on an overcast day. Many times that light is so much better than harsh sunlight and dark shadows.
