[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Sunset on the River Tweed at Dryburgh a few miles from my home early one February evening.
Forced to look through some of my archives as I am currently in India and did not bring my camera with me as I did not expecting to be here as long.
Took this shot by balancing the camera on a step near the level of the river and holding it tight.

Using Paint Shop Pro X2
Straightened the horizon.
Cropped the image.
Removed some power lines from across the image.
Resized for TL.
Sharpenend.
Added a border.

Calm and balanced with an appealing glow...
I might have considered cropping just a bit from below to deal with the blurry part (without damaging the overall balance).

Great composition and tone... Thanks for sharing..

Sachin

I like this well executed shot but agree with BC's comment about the out of focus foreground.
The sky is well exposed and presents a soft texture which is a nice counter to the shiny water and hard silhouettes of the trees.

Good morning sir :)!
amazing composition
the sepia tone is so beautiful and the details are splendid
original frame!
Have a grate day

Hi Derek,

This is very beautiful the pov looks as if you are in the water I love the sky and the yellow tinge to the whole shot. I like the silhouetted trees the good sharp details and a nice dof well done.

Regards
Jon

Derek, love the tones .. great choice to use sepia here. I'm in agreement though, with those would have prefered the water to be sharp ... I find the blurry foreground to be somewhat distracting.
Still, a beautiful shot

Hey

Sometimes it seems to me seeing less is seeing more. This shot is a good example. Although there are few detais to be seen the whole image gives me a the feeling of being in the picture.

So I really like your PP work here - this makes the shot unique in its very own way.
Not to mentione the good POV
