[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Took a trip in the Scottish Borders yesterday with a couple of other TL members. We climbed up the side of a waterfall known as "The Grey Mare's Tail",`I am sure a few pictures will appear on TL of the water fall.

I took this photo of the Tail Burn just before comming to Loch Skeen.

Using Nikon Capture NX2
Cropped the image.
Edited using colour control points.

Using Paint Shop Pro X2
Resized the image.
High pass sharpen.
Added a border.

Hi Derek...

Great shot. Definately you will get great shot with the latest/advance Nikon model. Good sharpness and great details. Beautiful scenery was nicely captured and composed. Well done!

Geoffrey Bin Ramji

Derek looks like your trip bore fruit. Great detail in the shot from foreground to background.

Slow shutter speed and F22 has really worked well too. Sky is a little plain, but there is no control over that :-)

Its a fair trek, so hope your not suffering too much :-)

Peter

Hi Derek,

effective use of small aperture and a slow shutter speed. details are well seen and captured and the smoothened water flow looks lovely. well done!

Excellent work on this Derek! I love the blurred water. Now here is a thought, What if you used a grad filter? The eyes tend to want to look UP...even though the focus is the water. I will take into WS and show you what I mean! Love this! I wish we had rushing water near us...well, when it floods we do! LOL!
Nice work!

Hello,

superbe image, ce cour d'eau avec son effet filant le blanc se contraste très bien avec les herbes jaunes et la colline ronde en fond, superbe compo, le cformat et le cadrage est parfait.

Bravo et amitié

Nicou
