[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Went over to Hawick today and visited Wilton Lodge Park where the statues of two of the towns most famous son's are. I am speaking of course of Steve Hislop and Jimmie Gutthrie. The park is open all year round but not the museum, took some shot throughout the gardens the Hislop memorial etc. This shot was on my way to the statue.

Thanks for looking

Nice effect, beautiful black and white winter composition!
Good perspective!
Best regrads!
Lili

I like this Jon - beautiful B&W, and nice pp work.
Great composition, good exposure throughout and sharp all the way.
Cheers
David

Clearly perspective with smooth step of leading line, lack of contrast but Good POV my freind.Nice work,TFS.

Hey Jon - really nice B&W shot! The perspective achieved is great, and the monochrome brings out the detail beautifully!
TFS! Cerys

Hello Jon,
A very good B/W. The monochrome really enhances the detail and adds a lot of interest .
Good POV and lighting.
Cheers, Joni

Hello Jon,

The 1/20 sec exposure has allowed a small degree of blurring to the running water, but not that rather exaggerated effect that longer exposures give.

A fine sense of perspective with the water tumbling over the series of steps, and an enclosed feeling as the branches meet overhead.

Regards,

Peter.

Hi Jon,
This image comes out vibrant in B&W,I like your POV makes for a strong composition, like how were drawn right into the image by the wide foreground growing narrower as it goes into the background + the hint of the water going on for a bit longer due to the bend at the top of the dykes. Good one Jon.

Hi Jon

Good POV and perspective of the walls.
I found the top branches a little distracting, have added a workshop, hope you don't mind.

Bonsoir Jon,

Nice respose to the theme. I like the exagerated contrast giving a very graphic and artistic effect. Great shot and TFS.
