Salmon Fisher

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This was taken on a day out I was heading to Lindisfarne but stopped of at a lay-by near the junction pool where the Tweed and Teviot rivers merge. I could not focus on the water bailiff and the man fishing for salmon as the boat was constantly on the move so tried to do my best
.
I tried to get the horizon straight in this shot but ended up with the river looking as if it was going uphill so decided to leave as is. I know I will be critiqued harshly because of this but this is a personal choice and I hope that you can understand that. I have done a workshop to show what I mean.
A very Merry Christmas and a Guid New Year to everyone that I have met on this site take care.
Thanks in advance for any critiques and or comments.

Very nice composition. I really like the colors and the mood of the picture. However, the horizon is not level. You can change this by rotating the picture just a bit.
You could also crop some of the bottom after you rotate the picture.

Have to agree with IS my friend maybe the water was a bit shaky or was it the photographer but actually like the shot but a tighter crop would dfintley help
cheers big ears AND HAVE A HAPPY CRIMBO

Jon I like the choice of scenery and I can relate to the difficulty of straightening the horizon when the shot is taken diaginally across water like this one is. I like the gentle lighting and pov. What does surprise me is the lack of sharpness especially since you used a tripod. Did you use a time delay exposure, or a cable release or did you press the shutter with your finger. In the latter case it is still possible to have some camera shake. You seem to have used a wide angle setting which should make camera shake less likely so I am a little puzzled.
Have a great Christmas
Warm regards
David
