Eildons from Fairnington
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This was taken on my return journey from Jedburgh I had tried to take a shot of Pinal Heugh but on examination they were not that good so stopped near Fairnington to shoot this view. As the Eildons are really one hill, some say volcano, with three peaks it looks different depending on the direction that your are looking from. Fairnington is a small farm that my brother used to live as a tenant in a cottage. In the foreground you can see both Maxton and St Boswells.
3 shots in raw and converted in photomatix
cropped and uploaded from pspx1.
I hope that you like it and feel free to leave any critiques. |

Good Morning Jon. Wow, this is beautiful! What a pretty country you live in. Pardon my silly question, but when you talk about the Scottish Borders, does that refer to a specific area of Scotland .. like a province? And would it be bordering another country as the name might imply?
Beautiful scenic shot .. great colors, nice shallow crop .. great job.

Hello Jon.
Interesting view presented here.
I like that yellow filed in the middle of the composition.
I hope to visit Scotland later this year.
Best Regards.

Awesome landscape Jon, very rich colours, particularly with the greens. Looks like it was quite a clear day, the fluffy clouds fill up the sky nicely. A very peaceful scene.
TFS,
Scott.
