[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is another shot taken from my day out at Floors Horse Trials and it had to be the warmest day of the year so far. This is the water hazard and as at all these jumps there is a easy and hard way to do it, easy takes longer and as it is a timed course it is not often used. I counted at least twelve people with very expensive DSLR's and I didn't count the pro's. This was the first time I had tried any sports photography, but I think I'm hooked, and took a while to before I started to pan the shots.
I cropped added a border re-sized sharpened and uploaded to tl using pspx1.
I hope that you like it as I liked the experience.

You did a great job on this one Jon. Great timing on your part ... love the outstretched front legs of the horse and it prepares to enter the water!! Love the space in front of horse and rider .. for them to ride into. Colors are great. Excellent job.
Looks like a windy day, judging by the grass and people's blowing hair.
Trudy

Hi Jon,
So - you made it to the water jump to... Nice shot, the subject is well in focus and the colours are superb. I love how the light and shadow is showing the horses muscle definition on the shoulder and flanks and the riders face deep in concentration. If you are anything like me you will have an awful lot of pfotographs to sort through from the weekend! TFS and take care.
Bri

Hi Jon,
This is a fine action shot, perfect timing for this moment. Sharpness and brightness of theimage are excellent, nice saturation and freshness that green grass gives. Great job, well done! TFS!

Very nicely captured shot Jon, frozen perfectly with the high shutter speed. Great natural colours with this one, especially from the sun reflecting off the horse's eye-catching skin. Well composed too, giving the horse enough room to move into after the jump. Well done mate.

TFS,
Scott.

Hello Jon, a great job done. You have frozen this moment in time.Everything is sharp and clear.
The horse and rider are placed perfectly in the frame.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Jon this is a excellent timed shot it shows you dont need a realy exspensive slr to get results your details are good in this imho i would have tried to catch him entering the water to get the splash which always adds to this type of shot i know from experiance and lots of cliking how hard it is to get it right and you have here well done maybe see you at the cr sports this year tfs
regards bryan

Hi Jon, a perfect POV,you captured the action of the rider well with great clarity & detail I'm surprised your DOf did not create some blurring in the background to give a little feeling of the Jockey's speed .
Well seen & captured.
Regards
Ron

Hi Jon,
Very nicely timed, we can see the horse has cleared the fence with his hind legs.
I do wonder if the horses really enjoy this type of jump. It's bad enough when we step off a curb without seeing the drop.
Well captured,
Peter.
