This is another from that great day out at Floors Castle Horse Trials and before someone say's I know it is a bit centralised but that is how I wanted this shot to be. The horse and rider were have a good round on what was a very taxing course. I didn't notice the water splashes until after I downloaded the photo onto my computer, I hope that you like it for the lat and lon look at my other photo's from that day.
Shot in raw re-sized sharpened and uploaded to tl using pspx1.
All c and c's are welcome. |

Hi Jon,
It's a bit centralised.....sorry couldn't resist, the colours in the image are great and you get a real sense of movement with the blur, I think you may have sharpened it a bit much but still a good action shot. TFS
Bri
nice enough shot Jon but might be my eyes the front hoof of the horse looks odd but it not a easy dshot to take good timing with the water spray tfs
Shot doesnt look completely focussed Jon but certainly a good action shot and nice colours. TFS
warm regards
David
Great action and the water splashes add to motion of the horse and rider ...centralised or not its still a great capture

hello Jon,
Perhaps the focus could be sharper on the horse but the combination of the water spray that dapples the area around the horse and rider and the beauty of the dappled grey horse are atractive. You say that you prefer the centrality of the horse and rider and I accept that: however, I remember a TL member advising giving moving images a space to move into in the forward advancement and I try to keep to that advice; having said that, its not always that easy.I found that to be true photographing Annan's Riding of the Marches parade when horses were in the centre of my frame before I had time to click.
